Mirroring Moments
A collaborative project that merges three art forms and a variety of differing
methodologies. Video art, photography and weaving are combined to expose
near-invisible details. Chemical compounds resulting from geological
processes are a source of ideas in the project; thousands of years old
compounds that hopefully provoke people to reflect on our existence on earth
and the short time allotted to us is here. There is a strong emphasis on
reflection, presentation and experience in the space.
The project is a work by sisters, industrial designer and geologist Kristbjörg
María Guðmundsdóttir and photographer and visual communication designer
Ragna Margrét Guðmundsdóttir.
